How to Choose an Extender

EXTENDER QUALITY. We feel that it is not a good idea to skimp when buying a penis extender. Top extender systems is CLEANING. Since you will be wearing your penis extender for hours per day over the course of a few months, it’s a good idea to wash it on a weekly basis. Things can get funky quickly and we don’t want to have any skin irritations or infections as a result of using a dirty extender.

At least once a week you should take your extender apart and wash everything with soap and hot water. Dish soap works well and will help eliminate bacteria and body oils that may accumulate over time.

Besides soap and hot water, a few good disinfecting products are as follows:

  • Bleach
  • Isopropyl alcohol
  • Hydrogen peroxide

REPLACING OR UPGRADING PARTS. Over time certain parts might wear out and break. Classic examples are straps and pads. You may also find that there’s a new part available that would make your extender more effective such as an improved carrier or fastener. Whatever the situation, most manufacturers offer replacement parts and upgrades on the web.and will help you achieve your goal of a larger penis.

The parts of an extender should not rust or give you a rash. Parts should be made of medical grade materials or be properly coated in order to stay in service for as long as you need them.

The extender should also be fully adjustable and be sturdy enough not to flex or bend during use. Cheap, generic brand extenders will not be able to hold-up to the amount of use needed to complete the penis enlargement process and should be avoided.

Another reason to get a good extender is for more features and adjustability. For example, the top extender brands can accommodate penis sizes from around 3 to 9 inches (7.6 cm — 22.9 cm). Generic systems lack the accessories needed to fit properly and you may never be able to get them to work correctly.

Lastly, low cost extenders usually don’t offer proper tension. We found that many cheap extenders apply either too much or too little tension.

RECOMMENDED EXTENDER is ANDROPENIS. Get the most for your money! The following is a list of extenders that Size Development has determined to be the best in functionality, effectiveness, and quality:

ANDROKONFORT BAND & ATTACHMENT CLEANING. Since you will be wearing your penis extender for hours per day over the course of a few months, it’s a good idea to wash it on a weekly basis. REPLACING OR UPGRADING PARTS. Over time certain parts might wear out and break. Classic examples are straps and pads. You may also find that there’s a new part available that would make your extender more effective such as an improved carrier or fastener. Whatever the situation, most manufacturers offer replacement parts and upgrades on the web.. The extender has to grip your penis tight enough so that it can pull it lengthwise past its normal erect length for hours at a time. If the strap or noose is too loose, your penis will eventually slip out — if it’s too tight, you could experience discomfort and a loss of circulation.

Depending on the type of penis extender, you may have more than one way to attach it comfortably. Some only include a strap and others come with a strap and a noose. Other accessories to consider using are foam pads, gauze, and non-slip rubber pads or sheets.

Try different combinations of things in order to find which one works best for you.

FLACCID PENISES ONLY. When attaching and using the extender your penis should be completely flaccid. If it is not, then when it does become totally limp it will slip out of the extender’s retention system.

Additionally, the extender is useless on an erect penis so there is no point in using it in that situation.

FORESKIN & UNCIRCUMCISED. For those who are uncircumcised, you can try attaching an extender with your foreskin fully forward or pulled back — whichever way works best.

With standard extenders, try wrapping your penis with the foreskin fully forward using gauze or protection plaster. You should then be able to tighten a strap or noose over the wrap just behind the head of your penis. The mushroom shape of the glans is supposed to keep the strap from sliding off.

If slipping occurs, try pulling the foreskin back enough to get a strap or noose around your penis behind the head. Use padding or wrapping as needed. You can use just the noose without padding and it usually works well.

PADDING AND PROTECTION. Depending on the system, the product should include at least one form of padding or protection. Placing something between you and the strap or noose will provide more comfort and help extend your wear time.

PAIN ISSUES. There should be no pain involved. The extender is all about stretching your penis as far as it can go without pain or injury.

During the extending process, you should never experience pain or discomfort. The penis should be secured in place in a comfortable manner and the tension rods should be adjusted to a reasonable length.

It’s common to experience some discomfort where the fastener clamps down on the penis. This is due to either the fastener being too tight or the tension force being too great. The result is that the urethra and surrounding tissues become irritated and can cause an abnormal urge to urinate.

Important: If you do experience pain or discomfort during or after using your extender, give yourself a day or two to recover before resuming your enlargement routine. When you start again, set the extender to a lower setting and increase the tension at a slower rate.

Depending on which type of extender you have, the fastener may consist of a strap or silicone noose. If you are not careful your penis can get pinched where the strap or noose goes through the carrier slot or hole. The trick is to hold your penis to the opposite side of the piece that you are pulling through the slot or hole and go slowly.

Attaching an extender is not as easy as it looks in the demos; usually shown connected to a rubber dildo. Your penis is more like a very sensitive wet noodle and using padding, straps, and nooses will take a little practice to attach without problems.

SHAVE YOUR PUBIC AREA. In order to avoid having your pubic hair cause you grief, it is best to shave the whole area prior to using your extender. If you don’t shave then hair will have a tendency to get wound-up on the tension screws when you are making adjustments.

FORGET ABOUT URINATION. While wearing an andropenis penis extender, you will be pulling your penile tissues close to their limits and constricting the urethra somewhat. This constricting force placed around the shaft of your penis makes peeing painful and near impossible. In order to urinate, the extender should be removed or at least loosened completely.

3. Making Adjustments

ADD OR REMOVE SEGMENTS. Initially you will want to start with the extender set to the length of your erect penis. Add or remove rods segments to get the appropriate starting length. Good extending systems include various lengths of add-on tension rod segments so that the unit can be set properly.

After the first two weeks you can try adding a small rod segment to increase the amount of tension and stretch.

THUMB-SCREW ADJUSTERS. Most extenders use screws to adjust the traction force on the tension rods.

Start with the rods at the shortest position and then turn the screws with one hand while holding the tension rod with the other. When this is done properly, you will notice that the rod and the screw will extend in unison which allows for quicker and more effective adjustments. Turn each adjuster a few turns in an alternating fashion until the desired tension force is achieved. With some extenders you may be able to adjust both tension rods at the same time.

4. Getting Results

Note: For detailed instructions, please refer the user manual that came with your extender.

HOW TO START. For the first week, extend your penis too a length not greater than your erect length. This helps you get acclimated to the enlargement process. Don’t be tempted to increase the tension as you might experience pain or discomfort and have to start over after a one or two day rest.

How to find your initial setting: Measure the length of your erection from the pubic bone to the tip of the penis . Now, with the extender off, adjust it to your erection measurement; taking into account any amount of your penis head that might extend past the end of the extender. Add or remove length by using a combination of the screws and rod segments if possible (this depends on the type of extender).

After adjusting the unit to the proper length, you might have to back off on the thumb-screws in order to get it on. Once on, readjust to the original setting.

Week 1: Set to erect length; wear 1–2 hours per day every day.

WHEN TO INCREASE TENSION. After the first week you will want to apply enough stretching force to get the tension rods to compress somewhere in the range from fully extended. Use your starting point in week 1 and adjust the extender to reach the proper range of traction. The force will quickly stretch your penis off of your original setting or mark but you should not attempt to re-adjust. Once you have the extender set, leave it alone and do not be tempted to apply more tension.

Warnings:

  • Always remember to start slow then work your way up over time.
  • Always remove the extender after every 1 to 2 hours for a rest period.
  • Discontinue use if bruising occurs.

Most extenders have some way of gauging the amount of force that you are applying using notches or some type of reference mark.

GIVE IT TIME. If you are not willing to give the extender a few weeks to do its magic, then you should probably reconsider how important it is for you to obtain a bigger penis. The extender is a serious device that can deliver satisfying results if given some time. It must be worn for more than one hour per day for a month or longer.

DEALING WITH SLIPPAGE. Don’t worry if your penis slips out from the rubber strap found on most penis extenders, as this is a common problem. Over tightening will not help and will create other problems. To avoid slippage, follow the tips and tricks below.

Try a foam pad, gauze, baby wipe, or similar material wrapped around your penis just behind the head. Then use your preferred strap to attach it. The wrapped material should be snug and not too tight. This technique usually helps prevent the strap or noose from slipping past head of your penis.

For guys with thinner penises and a small head, you will experience even less girth as the penis is stretched and it will be difficult to use the standard strap fastener. We have found the following methods work well in this situation

WEAR LOOSE CLOTHING. When you’re wearing a penis extender you should be able to go about your daily business without any problems; however, there is an issue when wearing underwear or pants that are too tight. If your pants or underwear are too snug then the extender might not fully extend and you will not get good results. The remedy is to wear loose pants and boxer type underwear or no underwear at all.

5. Extender Maintenance

LUBRICATION. The thumb-screws or adjusters may need to be oiled once in a while to keep them working smoothly. A drop of light lubricating oil will do the trick. The spring loaded tension rods could also use a drop of oil once a month to keep the internal springs from binding.

CLEANING. Since you will be wearing your penis extender for hours per day over the course of a few months, it’s a good idea to wash it on a weekly basis. Things can get funky quickly and we don’t want to have any skin irritations or infections as a result of using a dirty extender. REPLACING OR UPGRADING PARTS. Over time certain parts might wear out and break. Classic examples are straps and pads. You may also find that there’s a new part available that would make your extender more effective such as an improved carrier or fastener. Whatever the situation, most manufacturers offer replacement parts and upgrades on the web ANDROMEDICAL.COM . Sometimes we get complacent and forget basic safety. Therefore, as a reminder, here are some basic common sense tips that we all should know but don’t always heed.

a. Do not wear the extender under the following circumstances:

  • Urination or bowel movements.
  • During rigorous activity such as exercise or heavy work.
  • After the consumption of alcohol or pain medication.
  • If your penis has any kind of wound or infection.
  • During sleep.

b. Be aware of circulation loss. When this happens your penis head will become numb and purple in color. Other times it may look pale and cold to the touch. In either case you should loosen the system immediately to regain circulation.

c. Check your penis every half-hour to an hour while wearing an extender to make sure that it’s okay. The head of your penis should retain its natural color during the extending process.

d. It’s recommended that you remove the device every 2 hours to give your penis a break and restore full circulation before continuing the extending process.
